Conceptual Model
In this conceptual model we tried to create a matrix able to represent at the highest level our entities and the scenario. The eterogeneity of the objects involved and their different relations suggest us to adopt an object-centric approach insted of an event-centric one, in order to trigger the historical event by exploiting the features of our items. Therefore, we organized our entities in three different domains, by using the ontologies that we find most suited for our tasks: RDA for bibliographic culture, OAD for archival resources, CIDOC-CRM for material culture. In addition, we decided to adopt FOAF and EAC-CPF for describing authorities, SKOS and RDF for concepts, FABIO and EBUCORE to address some specific tasks, and finally CIDOC-CRM with Dublin Core for harmonizing the three domains.
